Chances are, you have a 7-Eleven near you. The retail chain, one of the largest in the world has over 9,500 locations in the United States and over 83,000 globally so I would say their entry into the EV charging space is significant.
The retail chain will enter the EV charging space with their own proprietary systems known as 7Charge that includes their own phone application.
The company is building one of the most extensive and compatible EV fast-charging networks in North America, with initial services available in Florida, Texas, Colorado, and California.
With this latest foray into EV charging, 7-Eleven is remaining relevant and will definitely make a dent in the space. I just cannot imagine hanging out at a 7-Eleven waiting for my car to charge. Can you?
