"The upscale grocery chain is making the move from a 100,000-square-foot facility in Munster, Indiana to the far south side neighborhood thanks in part to Tax Increment Financing (TIF). The company’s request for $7.4 million in subsidies was approved by the city of Chicago’s Finance Committee in mid 2016."
The 150,000 square foot Whole Foods Midwest Distribution Center "received a Chicago Neighborhood Development Award for “The Outstanding For-Profit Neighborhood Real Estate” project."
Tom Taylor at Phase 1 gets a kick out of seeing his company's efforts culminate into something that serves Chicago communities and beyond explaining that "there is nothing quite like seeing a group of people come together to make a project happen that benefits our communities."
