The worlds largest EV battery charger manufacturing plant opened in Lebanon Tennessee. Tritium, an Australian based company opened the plant in August and it is now in full production.
“It’s mind-blowing, I don’t think we ever foresaw that we would build a facility of this magnitude in Tennessee so quickly,” Hunter said. Hunter said up to 30,000 chargers are expected to be produced at the facility in Lebanon in a year."
Tritium’s fastest charges can provide up to 350 kilowatts of power to vehicles or 217 miles of range in ten minutes or less and reduce the amount of time you will spend at a charger, especially important for longer trips.
With EV's becoming a hot topic, it is hard to not talk about it and the influence of laws that require manufacturing right here in the United States. The plant is expected to create 500 local jobs when it is in full production.
The manufacturing plant's first order will be shipping to Taco Bell's located in California.
