Missing Permits Halt Construction

Stop work orders for alleged failure to secure the required state permit

"A construction project in the fast-growing community of South Blooming Grove appears to be on hold after the state found the project violates state law.  The Department of Environmental Conservation issued four stop work orders for alleged failure to secure the required state permit, most recently in September, at 505 Clove Road." More about this project can be found here: Stop Work Order.

There are all sorts of building code anomalies including those that conflict with each other. In some cases, I've seen highly functional and expensive fixtures thrown out replaced with those unusable to anyone because of a code conflict or regulatory issue. Other times, proper permits are simply not obtained at all and all these errors can be costly and cause extensive delays.
